In the era of combatting rapid climate change, meat & dairy are getting the worst press: in particular, we’ve been seeing beef getting slashed everywhere for its methane emissions – cow burps and farts. So we are increasingly being told that switching to a vegan/plant-based diet is the solution to climate change. But is it really the case? Because popular vegan foods like avocados, soy and almonds do cause massive environmental destruction. So how could eating regional plant-based foods be potentially less environmentally damaging than eating local and organic meat & dairy? In this video, I will be explaining and debunking various claims made around veganism and plant based diets using life-cycle assessment.
