Skinny Butcher is to launch its Stranger Things-themed Crazy Crispy Chick’n Nuggets in Walmart stores this month. This comes as we eagerly wait for our latest Stranger Things “hit” which thankfully is nearly here! To be exact, volume one of season four will be released via Netflix on 27 May with the second volume coming shortly after on 1 July.
Skinny Butcher startup
Detroit-based Skinny Butcher was created as the result of a partnership between former Vice Chairman of Garden Fresh Gourmet, Dave Zilko, and Golden West Food Group. Skinny Butcher is a new company that during its startup days, managed to raise an impressive $10m for market launch.
Regarding this latest product launch, Zilko commented: “We immediately knew we had a product that people would think is out of this world. Not only can you not tell the difference between Skinny Butcher chick’n and animal-based products, but we’re the only ‘Crazy Crispy’ nugget on the market, in either format. No secret experiments were conducted here – just some ingenuity from the team at Golden West Food Group!”
Skinny Butcher’s Crazy Crispy Chick’n Nuggets is soy and palm oil free and is made using pea protein as well as a progressive vegetable fiber strain. They’ll be selling in Walmart for $7.99 nationwide.
Vegan documentaries on Netflix
Netflix has been in the news a great deal recently, with cuts to shows due to falling subscription numbers. BUT what vegan documentaries can we watch that are still on Netflix? In fact, what even is a vegan documentary? For us, it covers shows highlighting the treatment of animals in various exploitative situations. In addition, vegan ethics and the environmental impact of animal agriculture, factory farming, and of course, misconceptions about the vegan lifestyle. Take a look at our updated list of vegan documentaries on Netflix and see which vegan documentaries might be inspiring to you.
