Becoming vegan was a switch that stemmed from a selfish and destructive place. Heavily rooted in my eating disorder. I’ve noticed a lot of influential vegans speaking in terms that echo the voice of an eating disorder. I also think a lot of vegans are in denial of the extreme connection between anorexia and veganism. More so some vegans use thinness as a selling point of veganism, attracting more and more individuals who already struggle with a negative relationship with food. Before the existence of a 100% vegan world, I’d like to see a world 100% rid of eating disorders.
