Those vegan types of honey are must recipes for you to keep in your food wardrobe, those two recipes are so versatile and so easy to make (not to mention inexpensive) and you’re gonna fall in love with both the amazing taste as well as their versatility!
INGREDIENTS:
Ripe green grapes
400g pitted dates (About 2 cups)
600 ml of water (2 cups + ½ cup)
METHOD:
Blend the grapes, pass them through a sieve, then again through a fine-mesh sieve.
Transfer the blended and double sifted grapes to the pot, and simmer them over low heat until it reduces by 1/3 of its volume. Stir once in a while.
Transfer to a lidded jar, allow it to cool then put it in the fridge.
Add the dates to a bowl, cover with hot water, let it sit for 10 minutes.
Transfer the dates with its soaking water onto a pot and simmer in low heat for about 40-50 minutes, stirring once in a while, especially towards the end of the cooking time.
Strain the dates and sift them so it gets silky and lump-free.
Transfer the dates juice onto a pot and simmer it for about 20 minutes or until it thickens up and reduces by 1/3 of its volume.
Transfer to a lidded jar, allow it to cool then put it in the fridge.
