“what is a VEGAN? A vegan (pronounced VEE-gun) is someone who, for various reasons, chooses to avoid using or consuming animal products. While vegetarians choose not to use flesh foods, vegans also avoid dairy and eggs, as well as fur, leather, wool, down, and cosmetics or chemical products tested on animals.
why VEGAN? Veganism, the natural extension of vegetarianism, is an integral component of a cruelty-free lifestyle. Living vegan provides numerous benefits to animals’ lives, to the environment, and to our own health–through a healthy diet and lifestyle.” – www.vegan.org
NOTE: Some vegans don’t use bee products either, like honey or beeswax. I personally don’t but the decision is a personal choice.
I speak about vegan alternatives and adapting foods.

VEGAN FOOD PYRAMID
Macorroni Salad Recipe
1/2 box of pasta (prepared and rinsed with cold water to cool)
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1 tablespoon red onion(chopped small)
about 1 tsp chives(diced small)
3 spoons of Veganaise or Nayonaise
about 1 tsp garlic powder
Mix ingredients well and chill for a little while. Enjoy!
The reason I went vegan was animal rights. The dairy and veal industry are connected to one another. Egg laying hens are treated terribly.
